Beware gentle reader (to paraphrase Miss Manners), the founders of the
U.S. Constitution were indeed wise; they knew that one branch of government
was a dictatorship, two branches were a dictomy with a hazard that they
would agree to their benefit and the detriment of society, but with
three branches, change would only be made when there was sufficient
agreement among society to ensure that wholesale anarchy would not result.
